I think this page is terrific. It builds the feeling of doom and dread and it introduces the main characters in a mysterious, prophetic way. Charlotte grimly accepts her fate, willingly joining the doomed crew. The drawing of the hand reaching for the noose is particularly good. My inking is overdone and amateurish in many places in this book, but in this case it’s very nicely rendered. The last drawing does a great job of showing that longing for a supernatural release from danger as well as a lovely masculine quality to the femme’s face.
